Antarctica Unit 1 Student Bundle (DIGITAL)

This listing is for the digital (PDF) 1 student bundle in the level of your choice for the unit Antarctica. It includes a student notebook (in the level of your choice, see our samples to help place your child), the Teacher’s Guide, as well as the Teacher’s Companion.

Our first unit of year 2 focuses on the historical discovery and the scientific studies that have happened on this continent. The Teacher’s Guide comes with a digital teacher’s companion which now includes the day at a glance, book list, planning pages, and a few other resources. This hopefully allows you to open it up in a separate iPad or screen (or print it separately) to see answers and assignments in one place.

Throughout this unit, students will be creating their own expedition journal, recounting their adventures or imagining what it would be like to be an explorer. They will be reciting Joshua chapter 1, Joshua’s commission, and connecting how God has commissioned us to walk into the calling He has on our lives. They will be learning about meteorology, geography, history, technology, and so much more! Make an optional timeline with the beautiful, hand painted timeline figures (found in the accompanying Teacher’s Guide purchase) and learn more about our southernmost continent, Gather ‘Round style!

We have all new seat work pages that have your daily copywork, some calendar or schedule work, as well as optional spelling words. Early Reader to Upper Elementary has an optional spelling activity sheet in the appendix to make spelling more hands on and fun and give some other ways of practicing and showing what they are learning.

With recitation, copywork, narration, detailed art lessons, science, history, geography, and so much more… this rich unit is the perfect way to ease your way into your school year and learn more about Antarctica.

Also, check out our accompanying cursive notebook!
