Take every thought captive. How do you actually do that? In this unit, your entire family will be learning about your thoughts, feelings, emotions, reactions, behaviors, personality, and so much more. You will discover where these come from, what is true, and how to manage them from a Biblical perspective.
Intro to Psychology is so much more than how the brain works. It is a philosophy unit, a history unit, a science unit, an art unit, and a Bible unit. Daily devotionals, daily journaling prompts, a color coded Teacher's Guide for varying attention spans (for the first time ever), daily Language Arts creative writing assignments, and lots and lots of hands on fun! This is it. If you are new to Gather 'Round or can only do one, let this be the one. Let's give our kids strategies and tools for how to take ownership of why and how they act the way they do and begin to be intentional in our homes and relationships.
Don't miss our add on's for this unit!
Origami Emotion Teller: This is an origami game to fold and play to help kids think through how they are feeling. A great way to take a few minutes, count, slow down, and think about how you are feeling and why, the flaps open to reveal tips, strategies, and a scripture to help. This is available in PRINT or DIGITAL.
Devotional Journal: The Intro to Psychology Journal is 5x8 and bound at the top. It is about 46 pages with daily journal pages that tie in to your devotional. Including a place to write down what you are thankful for, journal your thoughts and prayer time (which you will be prompted to do in each daily devotional) and a place to write down what God's Word has to say about it. The back has 8 battle plan pages to choose areas of focus and scriptures to speak out over those situations to help students (or parents) be intentional about using their sword. This is available in PRINT or DIGITAL.
Optional Daily Seatwork/Writing Mechanics: Our Seatwork Journal is a writing mechanics daily practice notebook that includes copywork (in your choice of manuscript or cursive), memory work, spelling practice, vocabulary, daily planning, and even grammar! Available in Early Reader-High School in DIGITAL or PRINT, these journals have specific spelling words and grammar sections that are appropriate for your child's level.
