Our second US History unit goes from the mid 1700s–The War of 1812. It covers the beginning of the new Nation of America, the Revolutionary War, and the debates and deep convictions that led to independence.
Our mini units are 20 lessons long and designed to go along with and/or supplement our main units. They are not as in-depth or as large as our main units, with only 2 pages in each student book per lesson instead of 5. Our mini units are designed to be more targeted and focused rather than broad and far-reaching.
For the first time ever, we have created a story companion MP3 to go along with the unit. This can be used as a stand alone teaching for your younger students (up to Upper Elementary) or as additional reinforcement for your middle and high schoolers. The stories are engaging and short (averaging around 5 minutes) and cover the main points of the lesson through adventure, with random sound effects to keep the whole family engaged. Rebecca had so much fun writing about the adventures of her son, Malakai, and his pet goat, Jax, that she decided to also create a custom coloring book for students to color while listening! These are both add-ons for this unit and must be purchased separately.
This purchase is for the digital family bundle, this means that it includes all of our student notebooks and the Teacher's Guide, in digital, PDF, downloadable form, including:
-The Teacher's Guide
-Pre-Reader (3-5 years old)
-Early Reader (5-7 years old)
-Early Elementary (8-10 years old)
-Upper Elementary (10-12 years old)
-Middle School (12-15 years old)
-High School (15-18 years old)
These digital files are for one single-family license only. Group orders must be requested through the Gather 'Round Group Department HERE.

It is my prayer that God uses this to bring about deep and meaningful discussions in your homes, empathy for others, understanding, and hope for the redemptive power of our mighty God!
