This is our very first Lapbook! The lapbook will be available in DIGITAL (which comes with both levels) or HARD COPY/DIGITAL COMBO in one level of your choice. Students will add to it every day. *The lapbook is not required, it is built in to the notebooking pages. We have the same information (and sometimes more) on the notebooking page so students can either do notebooking and/or do it in a lapbook. You can do normal notebooking or you can get all hands on with me and do a lapbook. A lapbook is a folder with a bunch of mini books and fold outs glued on to it. Basically it is notebooking, in a hands on way. Students will add to it every day and it is full watercolor! So there are watercolor doors and shields and things to glue onto the folder, and then cut outs to go inside.

Upon purchase, you will get an email that includes your links to your digital downloads. We recommend downloading them and saving them to your computer, then printing them out (or casting them to your TV).

Writing Track: The Writing Track for this unit is focused on a short story and is not required or necessary, it is for people who want more handholding and daily instruction to break it into more bite sized pieces. This is available in PRINT and DIGITAL and is not recommended for younger students as it is primarily focused on students who are already writing. Recommended for a mature Early Elementary student or Upper Elementary student. For younger students, there are so many options in this unit, you could skip the story writing and go with the diorama, presentation, and lapbook instead! This unit is stockpiled with options!

Optional Daily Seatwork/Writing Mechanics: Our Seatwork Journal is a writing mechanics daily practice notebook that includes copywork (in your choice of manuscript or cursive), memory work, spelling practice, vocabulary, daily planning, and even grammar! Available in Early Reader-High School in DIGITAL or PRINT, these journals have specific spelling words and grammar sections that are appropriate for your child's level.
