This much-anticipated unit is the most practical one we have ever created and is fun for the whole family! The lessons are jam-packed with hands-on activities and interactive notebooking prompts that allow you to respond to the content as you learn it. Pause the lesson and take a trip to explore kitchen appliances, the laundry room, your first aid supplies, features on your family vehicle, and more!
In the Student Books, the pages are a bit more in-depth simply because we had so much to talk about! Learn about goals, meal plans, chore charts, evacuation plans, packing lists, budgets, basic typing skills, team building, etiquette throughout history, and so much more! Language arts for this unit is not once a week but rather included on most days as it pertains to the lesson (such as writing a letter or card when you learn about communication). A new Bible skill is introduced each day with focuses on the Romans Road, understanding our faith, how to read and study the Bible, how to pray, apologetics, etc.!
Don't miss our add ons for this unit!
Our add-on for this unit is a Typing Book to work on another important life skill. Choose from level one or level two based on your current abilities. These books include 30 lessons for a full month of learning.
What to buy? You will need to purchase a physical workbook for each child as well as a Teacher's Guide for yourself. The Teacher's Guides contain all the actual teaching, they are not just for answers, so they are critical to your lessons. Printed books are printed on 32lb. paper and are shipped to you coil bound.
How long are units designed to last? Each unit is designed to be 4-5 weeks. Our main units and most of our mini units include 20 lessons and can be done as a 4-day school week (lasting 5 weeks) or a 5-day school week (lasting 4 weeks) to offer flexibility. You're in control! Set a schedule that works best for your family and your pace will dictate how quickly you complete any given unit.
