Refund policy
We will accept a return of print orders for a refund up to 30 days after date of purchase. Our third-party payment vendors limit the amount of time a refund can be processed so we must adhere to that timeline. Thank you for understanding.
Note: Once an order is processing, no changes can be made. This is regardless of shipping processing time or in the case of ordering the wrong product.Â
Pre-Order Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
You must have proof of purchase/your original order email/receipt.
If you are within 30 days of your purchase date, pre-orders of any unfulfilled hard copies and digital materials can be canceled up until the time a shipping label has been created or your digital materials have been delivered. The amount of your refund will be based on the unfulfilled materials. (Ex: You purchased a full year digital bundle but have only received 7 of the 10 units. Your refund would be processed for the 3 units not yet delivered.) After 30 days from the date of purchase, the refund of the remaining pre-order will be issued in the form of a Gather 'Round gift card.Â
Digital Returns
No digital product is eligible for return or refund. Upon your purchase you are automatically sent your files to download and as we cannot remove them from your computer, the purchase is final sale.Â
Merch Returns
As part of our Covid protocol we can not accept returns on Merch.Â
Print Returns
Print orders may be delayed due to busy seasons such as our back to school sale, holiday orders, or other sale peaks. See our Shipping Policy for more information. Orders can be changed or cancelled until they are in production.
If you order the wrong unit or notebook for your child or are unsatisfied with what you received, you can return any unused materials with the following conditions:
- Your order must have been placed in the past 30 days.
- Buyer is responsible for return shipping and insurance as well as any courier duties, taxes, or brokerage fees to ensure your package arrives. Packages that have unpaid brokerage fees will be refused.Â
- Â The shipment must include the original packing slip and books must be in original, unused condition with no damages, marks, or scents. Please do not wrap books in Saran Wrap, Cling Wrap, or newspaper as these can damage the covers of the books. You may use paper, packing paper, paper towel or bubble wrap. If you do not have the packing slip, please include a slip of paper with your order #, name, and email address so we know where to apply a refund.Â
- Upon inspection at our warehouse, if the books are in good condition, you will be notified by email within 7 business days. Please note: if you ordered a print/digital combo (such as our year back to school print/digital special or the Christmas digital/print combo) the digital value is non-refundable. This means that you will receive a refund for the amount you paid, not including the shipping cost and the digital value.
- Finally, orders that are received must be in new condition in order for a return to be authorized. For small damages, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 30%. If the books are damaged beyond repair or written in, they are non-refundable. If returns are received in damaged condition from either the mail or the customer flip-through, they are not able to be sold. If we do decide to grant a refund, despite the unsellable condition, we will assess the restocking fee, return the rest of your funds and add the materials to our dent and ding pile.
To avoid this problem, we highly recommend downloading our free samples to ensure the best placement for your child and to have an idea of how the units work.Â
If your return is approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment for the eligible amount. Please note that this can take anywhere from 5-7 business days depending on your bank.
In a situation where the original method of payment is no longer active, the refund will be issued to a Gather ‘Round gift card.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
The processing time for your refund will vary depending on your credit card company or bank. If you have not seen the refund on your statement after a week from the date of your refund confirmation email, first call the financial institution to inquire.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.Â
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning an item and the original shipping costs are non-refundable.Â
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance to ensure that we receive your returned item.
