Yes! Many Gather 'Round families use this curriculum on its own for all their children and all their subjects—right through high school! We have testimonies of many grad students who have successfully made the leap to college or university, fully equipped to think for themselves and read the subtext of what is being presented. That being said, we also have some families who choose to supplement based on their student's needs or because they have a curriculum that they just love and don't want to give up.While there are some reviews online that question whether we are enough, it is important to note that those were often done in the early years when we were still a startup. We have created many more resources to help close gaps, beef up our content, and find the elusive balance between "enough" and "too much". Our style is different, we focus on less quantity and more contextual learning—which can feel too simple especially if you are coming from a more traditional curriculum. However, many of our parents say that their students actually remember what they are learning and the results speak for themselves over time.

Choose a unit/topic that either interests you or meets a need (such as if you are working toward certain credits).Purchase either the digital full family bundle (which includes both the Teacher's Guide and all levels of student books), the one student bundle (which includes the Teacher's Guide and one level of your choice), or the printed books. If you decide to go with our beautiful, high-end printed books . . . you will need the Teacher's Guide and one book for each student.

What do I need to add?

The units cover all of your subjects but math. Our Modular Math program is available to cover K-grade 9 math, but high school math is not yet available on our site (though we do have plans to create it). Currently, you will need to get about 8 units per year along with about 8 math units per student in order to create a full curriculum year. Some families choose to add seatwork or our other Language Arts add-ons, fun holiday mini-units, and more . . . but these are not required.

How do I choose levels for multiple kids?

Our main units are designed to be used with the whole family. We have individual student books available in the following levels.Pre-Reader: recommended for younger students who are not ready to read/write (preschool/kindergarten age)Early Reader: recommended for emerging readers/writers (6-8 years old)Early Elementary: recommended for students who are comfortable using a word bank to write some of their answers (8-10 years old)Upper Elementary: recommended for students who are ready to write a sentence response (10-13 years old)Middle School: recommended for students who are ready for paragraph responses and more personal application/light research (13-16 years old)High School: prepares students to ask big questions, think for themselves, and apply topics to their own lives. This level is recommended for 16-18 years old and includes papers, essays, and more research.Some of our units are shorter or more simplified into levels 1, 2, and 3. For these, Level 3 is designed for Middle and High, level 2 for Early Elementary and Upper Elementary, and Level 1 for Pre-Reader and Early Reader.

How Long does it take?

Each unit is designed to take about a month—which means you will never get bored! You get to create your year based on your students' interests, covering all your subjects for all your grades, through one cohesive program that all points to Jesus! Each lesson is designed to take about 2-4 hours (depending on how many students you have, their ages, and whether you are completing the option rabbit trails or watching the resource videos available on our app). You will read the Teacher's Guide first to all students (which takes about 40 minutes to an hour depending on how many videos you show or the discussions you have) and then students will move to their student workbooks and complete their pages there. Units that have 20 lessons can be done 5 days a week and therefore being completed in 4 weeks. Or they can be done 4 days a week and take a bit longer. Because of this, most families work through about 8 units in a year with breaks and co-op days mixed in.

All of our units come with answer keys to help you mark your student's work. We have tried a bit of everything: including the answers in the Teacher's Guide, having them in the back of student notebooks, and eventually settling on including them in your downloads immediately after your order. You can use the answer key to help assign grades, but we recommend using a rubric for more accurate grading. To do this, you would assign points based on things like understanding (30%), completion (50%), effort (15%), and neatness (5%).

What is Modular Math?

Modular Math is our brand new math curriculum that covers K-grade 9 math—taking students all the way through Algebra 1. The units are topical and each step takes about 1 month. This means they can be used in either a mastery approach (staying on a topic and working on it through multiple levels) or spiral approach (completing one step of each topic throughout the year). This program was created with steps instead of grades, allowing you to custom-tailor the program to your student without discouraging them with where they are at. It can be used as a remedial program or for gifted students who want to move faster. Each day includes 2 pages. Day 1 teaches a new concept (and includes a devotional) and day 2 has practice that builds throughout the unit in a spiral approach. All you have to do is take a placement test on a topic and jump in! It is open and go with no teacher's guide, no manipulatives or resources required, and written directly to the student so that they can work independently. Yes, math can be this easy!

Curriculum itself cannot be accredited, only schools can. Accreditation means a school with qualified teachers, reporting, and grading that is following the government requirements for each grade. That being said, Gather 'Round Homeschool curriculum can absolutely be used all the way through High School by you, the parent! Most schools use the Carnegie method to assign credits, this means that 120 hours of instruction in a topic = 1 credit. We've made it super easy to you by training our very own Gather bot! All of our units cover such a wide variety of subjects that you can use the bot to help figure out how many credits have been covered (or will be covered) based on the units you have done or are planning on. What is the Online Academy?

The Online Academy is our new online school. We have about 600 students who tune in online to watch a lesson being taught live—complete with live polls, comments, reactions, and resources. Replays are also available for families who miss a class. Homework is assigned and families complete their student notebooks together—we are even looking at adding in grading and report cards! Can I use it in a group?

Gather 'Round is licensed for individual family use only (which means to a parent/guardian and the children they are legal guardians of). If you want to use this in a small group (with your sister, friend, or a few friends), you will need to make sure that each person owns their own materials, as file sharing and copying (or teaching to student's outside your home) is not allowed. If you want to use this in a co-op or hybrid model to a large group of students, we do require that you purchase print and sign an agreement stating that you will not photocopy or share. 4. ACCEPTABLE USE

4.1 You agree not to access or use the Website in an unlawful way or for an unlawful or illegitimate purpose or in any manner that contravenes these Terms. You shall not post, use, store or transmit (i) a message or information under a false name; (ii) information that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, predatory of minors, harassing, threatening or hateful to any person; or (iii) information that infringes or violates any of the intellectual property rights of others or the privacy or publicity rights of others. 4.2 If Gather 'Round determines, in its sole discretion, that you have Misused any Gather 'Round property or resources, including Course Materials (collectively, the "Intellectual Property”), your access to any digital files will be immediately revoked, and your ability to order Course Materials will be immediately suspended. This suspension will continue until you have contacted Gather 'Round and purchased the appropriate licenses for any Intellectual Property that you have Misused. Intellectual Property is considered “Misused” if it is shared, distributed, sold, or used in any other manner that violates these Terms.

4.3 In cases of Misused Intellectual Property, Gather 'Round also reserves the right to: (i) suspend or terminate any (or all) of the following: your Account, your use of the Website, your use of any materials provided by Gather 'Round, and your access to any other benefits provided by Gather 'Round; and (ii) take such legal action against you as may be required to protect Gather 'Round's rights, including but not limited to any rights in the Intellectual Property.

4.4 Digital materials are final-sale and have a limit of 15 downloads per file. We agree to host these files on our servers for 1 year from time of order, a time limit which will be reduced to 90 days for orders after July 22, 2024. While files at this time are available in a customer’s online user account and may remain so in the future, we simply cannot guarantee lasting access after this time period—particularly as a result of something outside our control (such as a site or server error) and therefore are only legally promising to store files for that length of time. You still have lifetime access to your files by downloading them onto your computer and we recommend storing them on an online service such as Google Drive or Dropbox to ensure backup access even if something happens with your computer. The expirations and limits are simply describing our responsibility and commitment to host, manage, and deliver your files. User accepts responsibility for downloading and saving files to their own devices for long-term use.

5. PAYMENT

5.1 The fees payable by you for the Course Material (the “Fees”) are based on the prices set forth on the Website. You agree to pay all Fees and charges associated with your Account on a timely basis. Such Fees (including any taxes, late fees, as applicable) may be charged to the credit card you provided during the initial setup of your Account. You agree to maintain valid credit card information in your Account. For greater certainty, by providing us with your credit card information you authorize Gather 'Round to bill and charge your credit card for the Course Material, until you or Gather 'Round terminate your agreement in accordance with these Terms.

5.2 All payments are non-refundable except as otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated by Gather 'Round in writing.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 All of the Content available on or through the Website is the property of Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property law. You agree not to reproduce, re-transmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast, or circulate the content received through a Session or through the Website to any third party. All software and accompanying documentation made available for download from the Website is the copyrighted work of Gather 'Round or its licensors.

6.2 "Homeschool On" and "Gather Round Homeschool" are protected terms (all rights reserved). 10.1 You or Gather 'Round may terminate access to your Account at any time for any reason whatsoever. Upon such termination, your right to access the Course Material will immediately cease.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

11.1 These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia and the federal laws of the United States of America applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision, principle or rule and notwithstanding your domicile, residence or physical location.

11.2 Any action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms will be instituted in the courts of the State of Georgia and/or the Federal Court of the United States, and each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts in any such action or proceeding. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to the venue of such courts.

12. WAIVER

12.1 No failure to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right, remedy, power or privilege arising from these Terms operates, or may be construed, as a waiver thereof. No single or partial exercise of any right, remedy, power or privilege hereunder precludes any other or further exercise thereof or the exercise of any other right, remedy, power or privilege.

13. SEVERABILITY

13.1 If any term or provision of these Terms is invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability shall not affect any other term or provision of these Terms or invalidate or render unenforceable such term or provision in any other jurisdiction.

15.1 We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual or entity, at our sole discretion, including but not limited to instances where a customer’s behavior is abusive, threatening, or otherwise poses a risk to our staff, business operations, or community.

16. LEGACY PASS

16.1 Eligibility and Scope

The “Legacy Pass” is exclusively for digital products published by Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc. The pass does not include products published by our sister company Fully Surrendered or any other current or future companies, nor does it apply to merchandise, novels, or any other non-digital items.

The Legacy Pass purchase does not include any access to the Village, the Academy, or other subscription-based products or services, nor does it include any individual courses, classes, events, conferences, or other Village or Academy content that may be offered for purchase at any time. No discounts can be applied to the purchase of the Legacy Pass.

16.2 Intended Use and Transfer

The Legacy Pass and all associated digital files are licensed solely for the personal, immediate family use of the original purchaser.

Immediate family means the purchaser, their spouse, and dependent children living in the same household. It does not include grandchildren, parents, siblings, extended relatives, or friends.

The pass and any print upgrade coupons are non-transferable. Sharing login access, reselling, or distributing any files or benefits to others is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent revocation of all access without refund.

16.3 Access and File Management

Access to digital files will be provided through the purchaser’s Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc. account. New and future digital products covered by the pass will be added as officially released.
Each digital file includes a limit of 15 downloads per title. Automated mass downloading, scraping, or other abnormal activity may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc. does not guarantee perpetual hosting of digital files. Customers are responsible for downloading and storing files safely on personal devices or cloud storage. Lost files may not be reissued once download limits have been reached.
“Life” refers to the operational life of Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc. Should the company cease operations, access to new or future digital resources will end, and no refunds or credits will be issued.

16.4 Support Limitations

Technical support for digital downloads is limited to 90 days after purchase or 90 days after the initial release of each new product.

16.5 Non-Refundable and Chargebacks

The Legacy Pass is strictly non-refundable. Because immediate digital value is provided at purchase, no refunds will be issued for a change of mind, delays in new releases, or previously purchased content.

Any attempt to reverse charges or dispute payment after digital access has been granted will result in permanent revocation of all Legacy Pass benefits and digital file access. Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc. reserves the right to pursue reimbursement for costs associated with chargebacks or fraudulent use.

16.6 Print Upgrade Coupon

The Legacy Pass includes a non-transferable print upgrade coupon valid for 25% off printed curriculum published by Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc., for the original purchaser’s immediate family use only.
The coupon does not apply to merchandise, novels, Fully Surrendered products, or items not published or created by Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc.
The coupon cannot be applied to the Village, the Academy, or other subscription-based products or services, nor does it include any individual courses, classes, events, conferences, or other Village or Academy content that may be offered for purchase at any time.
Print discounts are capped at $2,000 USD per household per calendar year. Any misuse will result in coupon cancellation and may result in Legacy Pass revocation without refund.
The coupon may not be combined with any other offer, discount, or promotion.

16.7 Limited Availability

Legacy Pass quantities are limited. Gather ’Round Homeschool Inc. may cease the sale of the Legacy Pass at any time without notice.

The Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc. mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc. (“Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc.”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

By consenting to Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc.’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc. through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

You may opt out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to +1 (866) 435-1628 or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Gather 'Round Homeschool Inc. mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.
