Is this a Full Unit or Mini Unit? Unsolved Mysteries is a Full Unit. Our Full Units are 20 lessons long and designed to take 4-6 weeks to complete. The Student Notebooks from Early Reader and up have 5 pages per day and are designed to cover all your subjects other than math. Mini Units are often shorter in length or in output and while they do have crossover into multiple subjects, they are more focused and intentional on the topic of the unit. They also tend to be more hands-on with less written output. Some families alternate Full Units with Mini Units while others do them alongside one another.
What is this unit about? Welcome to Unsolved Mysteries! Explore life's greatest enigmas with us in this unique approach to critical thinking. We'll be looking at the Lost Colony of Roanoke, Atlantis, the Loch Ness Monster, the Ark of the Covenant, Stonehenge, Amelia Earhart, and so much more!
In the workbooks pages, students explore the many questions, theories, and opinions that surround the book of Revelation and unravel its visions and pictures, discovering amazing truths and promises. Verse by verse, we will explore various interpretations of symbols, and leave room for your family to discuss and come to your own conclusions.
We also are excited about our daily forensic science page as students see what it takes to become a detective and analyze the clues left on the scene! Learn the crime-solving process, from preserving a crime scene to solving the crime, including gathering fingerprints, collecting and testing DNA, and interviewing witnesses and suspects.
In addition to notebooking, we finish off each day in your student notebooks with a Language Arts page as you get to choose a mystery and come up with your own theory or ending—expanding on critical thinking and creative writing skills.
May this unit spark wonder, awe, and curiosity, pointing back to the Creator. This is sure to be an unforgettable adventure!

Don't miss our add on for this unit! Unsolved Seatwork Books are available in DIGITAL or PRINT or check out our Seatwork sample below, a complete writing mechanics course with daily copywork, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
Plus, we have a picture book we are testing for younger ages. If this picture book performs well, we will aim to write one to go along with each lesson. Check it out here.
What should I buy? You will need to purchase a physical workbook for each child as well as a Teacher's Guide for yourself. The Teacher's Guides contain all the actual teaching, they are not just for answers, so they are critical to your lessons. Printed books are printed on 32lb. paper and are shipped to you coil bound.
How long are units designed to last? Each unit is designed to be 4-6 weeks. Our main units and most of our mini units include 20 lessons and can be done as a 4-day school week (lasting 5 weeks) or a 5-day school week (lasting 4 weeks) to offer flexibility. You're in control! Set a schedule that works best for your family and your pace will dictate how quickly you complete any given unit.
Check out the Resources! Most of our units have a free resource page on our free app. These have video links for each lesson, a way to track what you have done, as well as suggested reading lists, PDF downloads, and more! Click on the button a little further down to see what we have for this unit.
