Try out our Indigenous Peoples unit with this ONE DAY SAMPLE!
Indigenous Peoples is focused on Canadian First Peoples (though so many of the stories are intertwined with the USA as well). This unit doesn't hide from anything, we talk about residential schools, reconciliation, cultural appropriation, bias and prejudice, racism, and so much more! Filled with rich discussions and an opportunity to learn more about our past, I personally recommend that every family in Canada and the United States does this unit to broaden their understanding of some of the residual ripples that are still felt to this day. We will dig into the history of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada to the current time! You don't want to miss this one! From history to residential schools to modern advances and social implications, this is deep and wide my friends!
