We are so excited about our special edition 2024 US Elections mini unit! This is not a general unit about politics or how elections work . . . it is a specific unit to this year and hits on policies, people, and events to give families a tool for discussion and teaching (whether you homeschool or not).
This learning pack is a digital resource that comes with 2 lessons that are designed to be done on Monday, November 4th, and Tuesday, November 5th. There are two lessons in the Teacher's Guide complete with vocabulary, hands-on activities, and family devotionals. Additionally, you will find 6 leveled student packs from Pre-Reader (for students who are not fully reading/writing yet) all the way to High School. These student packs work at each student's individual level and go into more depth about polls, counting ballots, the parties themselves, and more. There are three pages to complete each day including a voting day resource that will allow students to track the results as they come in (older students will be working out what that means with the electoral college) and making predictions about what they think will happen.
If you are looking for a Christian resource that will work for the whole family . . . you've found it! Don't miss the letter to the student in the front of each student pack, which addresses media bias and encourages students to think critically to assess the author's bias and read between the lines—a skill that needs to be practiced by people of all ages as we seek truth and wisdom in the midst of great uncertainty.
This resource is a digital download and not available in print form. This means you can download, print, and use instantly! There are no supplies needed and no resources required. Simply open and go! You can even use it on the road!
