Ready to Read 4

What is this program about? Our final book in our Ready to Read, Kindergarten-Grade 1 series is titled, "On the Savanna." It focuses on animals that you might find on the sunny African savanna. The Teacher's Guide has a daily reading, designed to be read 4 days a week and last for 9 weeks. Students will be continuing to practice tally marks, telling time, counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, working with money, learning about science, culture, and social studies, ordinal numbers, making their own journal, as well as rich reading and Bible tie-ins. 

Students are focusing on four-letter words, compound words, and how vowels can combine to make digraphs (new sounds). These are called CVVC words (consonant, vowel, vowel, consonant, such as bear) and would be appropriate for advanced Kindergarten or Grade 1, depending on the child's development and the goals of the family.

Don't miss our very first chapter book (you have it in the student books in black and white, also available as a full watercolor add-on) or our brand new math practice book with daily math practice sheets if your student needs more help! Phonics practice focuses much more on mastery and fluency and should give you all the tools you need to build a strong reader! After this, it's all about practice and they will be well on their way! 

What should I buy? Ready to Read 4 comes in both print and digital formats. Simply choose the format that works for you: printed and shipped to you, or digital, where you print on your own at home!

PRINT If purchasing printed books, you will need to purchase a set of Student Books (A+B) for each child, as well as the Teacher's Guide for yourself. The Teacher's Guide contains all of the actual teaching; it is not just for answers, so it is critical to your lessons. The student books come in two different books so that they are not so big. The books will last 9 weeks.

DIGITAL The digital bundle includes the Teacher's Guide and the student books. All digital bundles come as an instant download in PDF format for you to print at home.
