DESCRIPTION

Our lapbook add-on for Middle Ages is an optional extension for people who love hands-on learning! A lapbook is a folder with a bunch of mini books and fold-outs glued onto it. Basically, it is notebooking, in a hands-on way. Students will add to it every day!

Please note that the lapbook is not required; it is built into the notebooking pages. We have the same information (and sometimes more) on the notebooking page, so students can either do notebooking and/or do it in a lapbook.

What should I buy? This lapbook comes in both print and digital formats. Simply choose the format that works for you: printed and shipped to you, or digital, where you print on your own at home! Please note that there are no refunds or exchanges allowed on digital items.

PRINT The printed version includes everything you need in printed format, including your black folders and brass fasteners, an instruction guide and answer key, and cutouts in your choice of Level 1 or Level 2. It ALSO comes with digital cutouts delivered to your account as a downloadable PDF in case you make a mistake and need to reprint something.

Level 1 is recommended for all ages and is as simple as cutting, pasting, and folding.
Level 2 is recommended for older students (middle school and high school) and features blank spaces for them to take notes, record what they learn, create their own timeline, and more.

DIGITAL The digital option includes the instruction guide, plus Level 1 and Level 2 for you to print at home. You will need to purchase folders and fasteners for each student who is making a lapbook. Please note that any printing should be done double sided so the books and flaps line up as they are meant to.

What else do I need? You will need the Middle Ages Teacher's Guide to accompany this lapbook. You will also need glue or glue dots, as well as scissors. The lapbook is designed to be a hands-on way to show what you know and even to present it at the end of the unit. It requires a lot of cutting and pasting and is not for everyone! We recommend pre-cutting the cut outs before the lesson and even working on one lapbook together as a family.
