Rocks and Minerals is a Full Unit that dives into how rocks and minerals are formed, what they look like, where they are found, and why they matter. By the end of the unit, you will be able to identify rocks right in your own backyard, so grab your gloves, safety goggles, and rock hammer and let’s go rockhounding.
Each lesson begins with review questions to help students remember what they learned the day before, then you will dig deeper with daily science, history, and Bible pages. Along the way, you will try experiments like growing your own crystals, lighting a bulb using conduction, observing oxidation, building a bone model, and more, plus explore famous rocks and minerals from around the world like Plymouth Rock, Stonehenge, and an underground cave of giant crystals. Middle School and High School levels include a time log line to help track credits.
The unit is designed to cover all your subjects (math available separately).
This listing is for the printed books, printed and shipped to you.
Don’t miss the optional add ons for this unit, including the Rocks and Minerals Seatwork Books, plus coordinating posters and flashcards.
