Ready to Read 1

What is the program about? Ready to Read is a full Kindergarten - Grade 1 program that includes all of your subjects blended with a full phonics program that is strategically skill-based rather than age-based. With the unique design of this program, you can place your child exactly where they need the help in their journey to reading fluency, regardless of their age! 

With short, daily lessons in the Teacher's Guide and daily worksheets in the student book, this 9-week bundle is Book 1 of 4 in our full year Ready to Read program! It's called Burrows and Holes and focuses on what lies beneath our feet: from caves and underground holes, to plants, insects, and animals that call this habitat their home... this unit is absolutely stunning! We have amazing custom illustrations all throughout this book that will pull you in and keep your kids hungry for more!

In this book, students are focusing on three-letter words and more simple letter blends to make reading more fluent and focusing on speed and mastery. These are called CVC words (consonant, vowel, consonant) and would be appropriate for around kindergarten to Grade 1, depending on the child and their development. Book 2 will begin to bridge into the next level of reading.

What should I buy? Ready to Read 1 comes in both print and digital formats. Simply choose the format that works for you: printed and shipped to you, or digital, where you print on your own at home!

PRINT If purchasing printed books, you will need to purchase a set of Student Books (A+B) for each child, as well as the Teacher's Guide for yourself. The Teacher's Guide contains all of the actual teaching; it is not just for answers, so it is critical to your lessons. The student books come in two different books so that they are not so big. The books will last 9 weeks.

DIGITAL The digital bundle includes the Teacher's Guide and the student books. All digital bundles come as an instant download in PDF format for you to print at home.
