Students learn about strategies and tools that can be used to help them solve different types of addition questions, whether they are simple two-digit problems or mixed fractions. Our spiral and mastery style program introduces the concepts of "more," algebraic thinking, application, and patterns in numbers.
This unit of Modular Math (geared toward Kindergarten–Grade 6) focuses on measurement and how it is applied in everyday life. Students are introduced to various types of measurement, from height and weight to distance, length, and speed. Standard and non-standard measurements are explored, as is the relationship between different units of measurement and when to use each one. Beginning steps will measure days and seasons while higher steps use multiplication and division to solve measurement conversions.
