Inventions and Ideas is a Full Unit all about the ideas that have changed our world—how inventions begin, how patents work, and what it looks like to create something new from start to finish. Throughout the month, students will work toward designing, creating, and presenting their very own invention.
This unit also has a unique emphasis on messages that are all around us. Students will learn how to take their thoughts captive and test what they hear with the Word of God. In the final week, they’ll use what they learned to either design an ad or record a commercial advertising their invention.
Nearly every day includes an optional simple science experiment or hands-on adaptation (with video options for families who don’t have time or supplies on hand). Rich with beautiful illustrations, deep discussions, and soaked in God’s Word, this is one of those units that really sticks.
The unit is designed to cover all your subjects (math available separately). This listing is for the printed books. You will need the Teacher’s Guide (required for teaching) and one Student Notebook for each student.
