Is this a Full Unit or Mini Unit? Pentecost is a Mini Unit. Our Mini Units are often shorter in length or in output and while they do have crossover into multiple subjects, they are more focused and intentional on the topic of the unit. They also tend to be more hands-on with less written output. In contrast, Full Units are 20 lessons long and designed to take 4-6 weeks to complete. The Student Notebooks from Early Reader and up have 5 pages per day and are designed to cover all your subjects other than math. Some families alternate Full Units with Mini Units while others do them alongside one another.
What is this unit about? The Pentecost mini unit is just four lessons long, designed to be done the week leading up to Pentecost. Each lesson has about 3 student pages per day: notebooking and two others. Throughout this unit, you will be covering the basics of theology and doctrine and learning the gospel message. Full of scripture, you will be learning all about the Holy Spirit and not only what He did all those years ago, but His ongoing ministry and presence in our lives here and now.
Please note, this unit does talk about the entire ministry of the Holy Spirit: from the gifts of the Spirit to being filled with the Spirit to tongues to the miraculous power of God. It is all tethered with God's word, but we understand that not everyone will agree with or appreciate the concept that miracles still happen today and God is still on the move so we wanted to make you are aware of that. As with all of our units, we do leave lots of opportunity for you as a family to decide what you believe about some of these debatable topics, and have some great discussions.

What should I buy? You can purchase a leveled bundle with one student notebook of your choice and the Teacher's Guide, or the full family bundle that includes all levels with the Teacher's Guide. If you have more than one child you are buying for, it is more economical to get the full bundle to re-use in the future with your kids at older levels. All digital bundles come as an instant download in PDF format for you to print at home.
How long is it designed to last? This unit is designed to last 1-2 weeks depending on how many lessons you do per day. You're in control! Set a schedule that works best for your family and your pace will dictate how quickly you complete any given unit.
Check out the Resources! Most of our units have a free resource page on our free app. These have video links for each lesson, a way to track what you have done, as well as suggested reading lists, PDF downloads, and more! Click on the button a little further down to see what we have for this unit.
