Botany Nature Journal (Printed)

Throughout Botany, students are encouraged to create their own Botany Book (a simple nature journal for daily prompts and observations) or use any sketchbook they already have. Inside the Student Notebooks, you’ll find gentle prompts that invite students to notice, record, sketch, and reflect on the plant world around them—using cutouts in the back of the student books if they’d like, or going fully artistic with drawing, painting, and free sketching.

If you love the idea of nature journaling but don’t want to build a book from scratch, this optional Botany Book is for you. As we approached the finish line of the unit, we decided to create a beautiful, ready-to-go Botany Book that gives students a place to write, draw, and keep their observations all in one spot—simple, structured, and lovely to look back on.

This add-on is totally optional and not required to complete the unit. It’s simply a “make it easy” option for families who want a dedicated journal that’s ready the moment your student sits down.
